Lets first put the controversy aside. Yes, there is Downey, Jr. in essentially black face the entire movie. Yes, there is Black losing his "medicinal jellybeans" early on. Yes, there are many references to the mentally challenged.
OK, this movie is SO FUNNY!! Tom Cruise's character, even with Stiller, Black, and Downey, Jr. in top form, absolutely steals this movie. Fine, there is the stereotypical first scene referenced in the last scene, there is a touch of Zoolander in Stiller's performance and the kung fu leaves much to be desired. Again, this movie is SO FUNNY you will forget all of that. Do not bring the kids to this one, ever. Be sure to arrive on time to see all the trailers, especially Booty Sweat.
